8/7/09 - Prayers Requested

Hey everyone.... BJ recently made a post to the Strike Out Leukemia Facebook Page and I thought it should definitely be put on here as well....

8/6/09--I spoke earlier today with an old friend of mine from Gardendale, Chad Painter. He told me about his sister-in-law, Kendall Thomas. Kendall is a 19 year old young lady from Gardendale who recently found out that she has a form of Leukemia. The tests are so preliminary that their not sure of the type she has. She is in Birmingham in the hospital waiting for a hospital bed to open up at MD Anderson in Houston, TX. I don't know all the details but I do know from personal experience that Kendall and her loved ones need our prayers at this tough time. I write tonight because I know how supportive all of you have been through my fight against cancer and with all of your support I wouldn't be where I am at today. I would really like for all of you to remember Kendall and all of her friends and family in your prayers that she will get the help she needs and the strength she needs to get through this tough time. Be thankful for all that you have because at anytime our worlds can be turned upside down!! God Bless you all!!
