Hi everyone...I had a chance to talk to BJ tonight about this week's visit to UAB. This is the first full week of baseball season, so I waited until tonight to call him because this was the only night I knew for sure he didn't have a game. This week has been really busy for him, but he said "despite the hectic schedule", he still feels really good.

BJ had another positive visit to UAB. He saw Dr. Vaughn this week, who is the main doctor over the unit. As a cautionary measure, he didn't take BJ off of his Cyclosporine this week because his liver enzymes were a little elevated. As I have mentioned before, this could be related to some of the other medications he is taking. This is definitely not negative news. He just felt there was no reason to rush into taking him off the Cyclosporine when everything is going so well.

Hopefully, those enzynes will improve over the next two weeks and I will be able to give you more good news when he goes back to UAB a week from Monday. I will update you then!

Until then, I hope everyone is doing well and I will talk to you soon!

Hey ....I hope everyone is doing well. BJ went back to UAB last week for a check up and once again, it went well. The results from his blood work were all good and everything is still progressing as it should. They cut back his Cyclosporine (the anti-rejection medication) to every other day. There is a chance that at his next visit on February 23rd, he could be taken off of it completely. This would be a huge step, so everybody keep him in your thoughts next Monday. I promise to update much more promptly next week. Hopefully, I get to post some really exciting news!
