Hey everybody...This post will not be too long, but I felt like I needed to let everyone know about BJ's last visit to UAB. BJ went to UAB Monday and got another very good report. I had a chance to stop by his office while I was in Tuscaloosa this week and he was doing really well. He has been exercising more and more and getting busier as baseball practice gets cranked back up. As far as his visit, I'm sorry to say I don't have a lot details (we spent most of our time talking about football recruiting). He basically said that everything went well and he has to go back in two weeks. He was hoping for another month long break, but the doctor he saw this time decided that two weeks would be better. He is getting really close to some big changes in his medications as well as the regularity of his visits to UAB, so everyone needs to keep praying for these positive results. I will try to have a few more details and hopefully, more good news with my next post! Talk to you then.

Hi everyone....It has been quite a while since my last post. BJ has been enjoying his longest break from UAB since the transplant. He went back to the unit this past Monday and the visit went very well. The only major change was in one of his medications. His liver enzymes have been a little high, so they are going to start a new medication and monitor its effects. Because of the new medication, they want to see him again in two weeks. Fortunately, that is all the news I have. BJ is really encouraged by the fact that his last few visits have been going well and there haven't been anymore curveballs (pardon the really bad pun).
