Hey everybody! I hope everyone is doing well! For the last month and a half, NO news has been GOOD news. BJ has been doing great and feeling good! And when I asked him if there was anything medically that I needed to let you know, he said "that it just needed to stay that way". So, I hope you all will continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers and maybe we won't have any medical updates for awhile.
The original premise of this blog was to update all of BJ's friends and family on his battle and progress through treatment against leukemia. And while that will continue to be the primary focus, when BJ has BIG news in his life (and he's okay with it), I feel like I should let you all know what's going on with him.
Today, BJ accepted an Assistant Coaching position at Georgia Southern University. After spending so many years in Tuscaloosa, I know it was really hard for him to leave. But, the opportunity to get back on the field and work with pitchers was more than he could pass up. So, he will be moving rather quickly to southeast Georgia to start a new phase of his life and coaching career.
Hopefully, there won't be any reason to give any new medical updates. So, I will let you all know when BJ gets settled in at Georgia Southern. In the meantime, please pray for continued good health and a smooth transition for BJ. He is going to have a hectic couple of months and I am sure would appreciate all of your thoughts. Talk to you soon! Congratulations BJ!
