7/29/09 - The Good News Continues!

Hi everyone...I just wanted to deliver some more great news that BJ received this week. He was back at UAB this past Monday for a routine follow up and got some outstanding news. Everything looks great and he doesn't have to back to UAB until next May! As BJ put it, "he is as healthy now as he was several years prior to his diagnosis". As you can imagine, he was extremely excited about the news. So, thanks to everyone for the continued thoughts and prayers because they have obviously helped.

Also, BJ is getting adjusted to his new job and address in Statesboro, GA. He is really enjoying being back on the road recruiting, watching a lot baseball, and doing what he loves to do...coaching.

BJ has really had a tremendous and life-changing last few months. I know from our conversations that he feels truly blessed that his body has responded so well to the treatment. After a few bumps in the road early, his treatment has gone about as smoothly as possible since the transplant.

I will continue to update the site with any new news or announcements. Until then, I hope you all will continue to keep BJ in your thoughts. Talk to you soon!
